He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Mary Etta Starling Smith (Patricia "Pat" Giddens); and his brothers, Franklin Smith and Charles Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Ashley Young (Frances Morin) of Cumming. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
