She was predeceased by: her father Dan Spikes; her husband O. G. Alexander; and her brother Gene Spikes. She is survived by: her mother Juanita Tyson Spikes of Pearson; her sons, Wade Alexander (Emily) of Lehighton, PA and Bryan Alexander (Lisa) of Tifton; her siblings, Shirley Fussell (Wayne) of Augusta, Danny Spikes (Rita) of Pearson and Ronnie Spikes (Litlen) of Pearson; her grandchildren, Laken Alexander, Dalton Alexander, Raina Alexander, Madisyn Alexander, Caelan Cooper (Candace) and Brandon Cooper (Brianna); and her goddaughter Malinda Mathis of Nashville. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
