He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hayes and Annie Belle Jowers Hayes; his grandson Jamie Morris; and his siblings, Marie Bruce, Rufus Hayes, Carroll Hayes, Clarabelle Cribb, Leola Ritch and Marcus Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Hayes of Pearson. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews.
