She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. "Buddy" Tanner; her parents, Milton Carter and Ferrell Carter; and her siblings, Maxine Baskin, Estelle Davis, Eunice Carter, Everett Carter of Freddie Carter, H. M, Grady Carter and Eddie Carter.
She is survived by: her sisters, Juanita Carter Steese (Larry) and Geraldine Carter Spradley (Benny). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elbethel Church (54 E Roberts Ave, Pearson, GA 31642). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
