He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Mitchell and Lauvon Dinkins; his aunt Thelma Floyd; his sister Pearl Brown; and his significant other Laura Jean Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Laura S. Dinkins; his children, John A. Dinkins, Jr. (Jessica), Carlos L. Dinkins Sr. and Kim Kennebrew (Lawrence); his grandchildren, Brooklyn A. Dinkins, John A. Dinkins III, Mason C. Dinkins, Carlos L. Dinkins Jr. (Charlie) and Ronald L. Buncombe Jr.; and his sisters, Nadiyah Clark and Paula Blue. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory (135 Senoia Rd, Peachtree City, GA 30269). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
