She was predeceased by: her former husband Gordon Hurst. She is survived by: her husband Larry Burgess; and her children, Emily Donahue, Kay Spas (George) and David Hurst. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Coco's Cupboard, a charitable organization that rescues animals, a cause close to her heart.
