She was predeceased by: her husband William John Matheson, Jr.; her parents, Francis Whiting Ellingwood and Lucy Ann Boutelle; and her sisters, Jean Marjorie Schmidt and Judith Marion Hoopes.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Merrifield, John Matheson (Dona), Susan Foxworth (Durward), Deborah Gardner (Robert), Barbara Matheson and Timothy Matheson (Trina). She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
