She was predeceased by: her parents, Almond Dewey "Kurk" Kuykendall and Lucille Kuykendall Thornton; her husband Roy Alton Richards; and her brother Richard Kuykendall. She is survived by: her brother Jack Kuykendall; her children, Terri Childs (Marvin) and Mark Richards (Gay); and her grandchildren, Candy Mann (Ron), Josh Childs (Whittney), Mariah Banks (Brian), Ian Hinton (April), Nancy James (Jon), Amy Childs (Sean McGladdery), Katie Rose (Ryan) and Kelly Harrell (Randy). She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Carmichael Hemperley Funeral Home (135 Senoia Rd, Peachtree City, GA 30269). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
