He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Portka and Mary Fusan Portka; his siblings, Joseph (Barbara), Rose Mary and Helen Portka; his daughter Holly Carpenter Mallardi; and his granddaughter Oksana Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Krause Portka; his children, Cheryl White (Dale), Donda Hansen (Shane) and David Reser (Corine); his grandchildren, Tory Castello (Shayla), Kelly Castello, Daryn Reynolds (Craig), Zoe Carpenter, Brenna, Alex Hansen, Regan and Rayleigh Reser; and his great grandchildren, Colton, Chloe, Mila and Waylon.
