He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Watkins and Lorraine Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Marie Watkins; his children, Matthew Watkins (Chelsea) and Lisa Dennis (Tad); his granddaughter Madeleine Watkins; and his nephews, Kelly Gorton, Jay Ritter and Joshua Ritter. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly requests donations be made in Burt's honor to The Wounded Warrior Project.
