She is survived by: her husband Frank Alvarez; her children, Remy Alvarez, Soma and Kayo; her parents, Yisa Ortiz and Muneef Asfour; her brother Alberto Flores; and her in-laws, Lorraine Follis and Russell.

Covid hit everyone hard, and after her layoff, she was able to obtain her CDL and worked for the Humble Independent School District.
