He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cain Payne of Pavo, Georgia; and his children, Andrew Payne (Jenny) of Chatsworth, Heather Payne of Dalton, Molly Payne of Norfolk, Virginia, Brooke Payne Laney (Eric) of Tallahassee and Thomas Payne (Gigi) of Thomasville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
