She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ernest Pope and Evie Lee Brand Pope; her husband William Howerton; and her siblings, James David Pope and Orlean Newberry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leciena Renee Todd of Pavo and Libby Dianna Mitzel (Sam) of Colorado; her grandchildren, Abbigail Riddle, Renee Stephens and Alexander Mitzel; her great grandchildren, Malloy Trull, Alyssa Stephens and Brandon Melvin; her close friend Jack E. Friedman; and her sister Myrta Ray Buckler of Sylvester. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
