He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Blaine Chastain and Ruby Mae Chastain; his brother Aaron; his siblings-in-law, Hazel Chastain and Curtis Pickels; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law Alonzo Milam; and his son-in-law Ed Kalagher.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Chastain; his children, Pamela Kalagher of Pavo and Timothy Chastain (Amanda) of Pavo; his sister Ola Pickels of Quitman; his grandchildren, Courtnay Perryman (James), Lindsay Strickland (Kylie), Samantha Chastain and Sarah Chastain; and his great grandchildren, Ayvah Grace Kelly Perryman, Asher Parker Perryman, Jolee Pearce, Devin Claiborn, Marla Strickland and Libby Strickland.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Salem Baptist Church (10307 Salem Rd, Pavo, GA 31778). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
