He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jack Norell and Jesse Hodges; his daughter Jan Norrell; and his siblings, Jimmie Norrell, Jerry Norrell, Janice Hulson and Joyce Gorum.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Mike Waller, Rogers Waller and Daniel Waller; and his caregivers, Danny Hortman and Van Hortman of Pavo.
