He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Tipton and Verna Lee Gauss Tipton; and his siblings, Robert Tipton, Larry Tipton and Mary Frances Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Lou Weldon Tipton of Pavo; his children, Shaun Tipton (Angela) of St. Augustine, Kevin Tipton (Brandy) of Big Springs, Texas, Sharon Georgette Weldon (Cleveland, Jr.) of Pavo, Ann Marie Jones of High Top and Tammy Renee Hamilton of Tacoma, Washington; and his siblings, Richard Tipton (Ann) of St. Augustine, Florida and Ruby Diane Heiht (Ted) of West Virginia. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
