He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arch and Allie Mae Carter Sapp, Sr.; his wife Dorothy Lee Walker Sapp; his son Robin Lee "Robbie" Sapp; and his siblings, Ophelia Jacobs, Murphy Sapp, Parnell Sapp and Robert Sapp.
He is survived by: his son Gary Sapp (Michelle Tootle) of Ludowici; his siblings, Carolyn Dangerfield of Blackshear, Agnes Strickland (Grady) of Blackshear, Betty Mae Sweat of Jacksonville and James Edward "Cotton" Sapp of Patterson; his sister-in-law Margie Sapp of Patterson; his grandchildren, Kimber Fowler (Pee Wee) and Weyman Chapman, Jr. (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Kinslee Chapman, Max Chapman, Case Lee Fowler and Tilly Kate Fowler. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
