He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Kirk and Lois Jean Jones Phillips; his brother Brian Scott Phillips; and his grandmother Lydia Jones. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Lynn Spencer Phillips of Patterson; his children, Josh Thomason (Marissa) of Patterson, Jacob Phillips of Hoboken, Jessica Lynn Phillips of Patterson, Jason Phillips of Patterson and Rachel Thomason of Mount Dora, FL; his grandsons, Zeyden Thomason of Galion and Mikey Thomason of Patterson; and his close friend Charlie Rowe of Sorrento, FL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
