It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Pratt Barnard Jr. of Patterson, Georgia, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pratt and Miriam Dixon Barnard, Sr.; his significant others, Martha Claire and Martin Barnard; his son Joseph Pratt "Petesy" Barnard; and his siblings, Thedius Deloach Clough and Jasper Bernard Barnard.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Claire; his son-in-law Duward Boatright of Bristol; his grandchildren, Reese Barnard, Rhett Barnard (Denise), Duward Boatright (Nancy), Barrett Boatright (Candace) and Claire Boatright; his great grandchildren, Duward Boatright, III, Ruthie Boatright, Boone Boatright, Shaw Barnard and Billee Claire Boatright; his sister Latrell "Sug" Barnard Stanfield of Patterson; his sister-in-law Sheila Barnard of Brunswick; his aunt Laverne Parker of Patterson; and his friend Joe Bobby Clark of Patterson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
