He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Inez Howard and Bascom Raulerson, Sr.; his wife Phyllis Raulerson; his children, Marie Dennison (Ian), Heather Sweat and Howard Ben Raulerson; his grandchildren, Brentz Sweat (Lauren Sweat), Blaise Sweat, Hunter Sweat (Lexi Crews), Haley Sweat (Zach Moye), Cade Dennison and Chloe Dennison; and his great grandchildren, Brenslie Smith, Briggs Sweat, Brenton Sweat, Holland Sweat and Carleigh Moye.

Any arrangements can be sent to the family home, and in lieu of flowers the family would be honored by memorial donations to Satilla Hospice House in Gordon's memory.
