He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Blalock and Florabell English Cannon; his wife Kathryn Blalock; his son Joel Blalock; and his sister Irene Queen.
He is survived by: his stepfather Irvin "Spud" Cannon; his son Russell Blalock of Augusta; his daughter-in-law Marsha Len Blalock of Fayetteville; his brother Tommy Cannon (Tonya); and his sisters-in-law, Joann Whitley and Sandra Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends.
