He is survived by: his mother Patsy Brown Gillespie; his wife Mary James of Palmetto; his daughter Cassie Lynn Brown Wheeler; his son-in-law Josh Wheeler; his grandsons, Jesse Kyle and Jackson Wheeler of Athens, Texas; his sister Kim Steadham of Palmetto; and his aunts and uncles, Carol Brown of Woodland, Ala, Steve, Aubrey Brown of Carrollton, Keith, Judy Miller of Newnan, Betty and Jerry Jones of Whitesburg.
