Avonelle N. Kirby Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avonelle N. Kirby of Palmetto, Georgia, born in Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Avonelle leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Avonelle may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Elton Norred and Iris Mae Breed; and her spouse Jerry Mearl Kirby, Sr.. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kyle Kirby (Layne) and Kaylan Griffie (Jordan); her great grandchild Kai Griffie; and her daughter-in-law Lisa Hurst (Don). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory (135 Senoia Rd, Peachtree City, GA 30269). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Holly Hill Memorial Park (359 SW Broad St, Fairburn, GA 30213).
