It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Richard Childers of Oxford, Georgia, who passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Childers and Lizzie Childers; his son Ricky Childers; and his brother Emmett Childers. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Childers; his sons, Scott Childers (Debbie) of Covington and Richie Childers (Dawn) of Oxford; his grandchildren, Ben, Kristen, Bo, Amber, Ashlee and Abby; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Bailey Claire, Reynie, Remy, Lakelynn, Sutton and Eva Joyce; and his sister Wynette Thompson of Covington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many close friends.
