He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Frances Pearl Smith. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Weatherly Smith; his daughter Cindy McCranie of Covington; his children-in-law, Beau McCranie of Covington, Mark Smith, Lilly Smith, Greensboro, Craig, Carol Smith and Monroe; his grandchildren, Mandy Hopkins, Marshall Hopkins, Dustin Avent-Holt, Laura Avent-Holt, Michelle Robertson, Beau Robertson, Kevin Smith, Nicole Smith, Ryan McCranie and Kelsey McCranie; and his sister Dot Smith.
