With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sammy Julius Nelson Sr. of Orchard Hill, Georgia, born in Summerville, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2022 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Russell Nelson and Iren Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Nelson; his children, Sammy Nelson Jr. (Donna Marie), Russ Nelson, Brian (Dana Nelson) and Lori (David Eckstien); and his stepson Billy W. Holloway. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
