He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Snell and Lillie Mae Mills Snell; his brothers, Alver Snell and David Snell; his brother-in-law Ira; and his nephew Gene Snell.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Maddox Snell; his children, Connie Snell Chandler (Darryal) and Jackie M. Snell; his grandchildren, Bryan Chandler, Scott Chandler, Stephanie Snell and Natalie Snell; his great grandchildren, Elisabeth Chandler, Cameron Chandler, Brady Chandler, Lauryn Chandler, Caleb Chandler, Jayden Barnette and Lucas West; his nieces and nephews, Dean (Shelli Snell), Glenda Snell, Gary (Trish Snell), Carol Maddox Bryan and Wayne (Cola Maddox); and his sister-in-law Ruth S. Maddox.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin or to Orchard Hill Baptist Church.
