She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas R. Coker and Lona Bell Yawn Coker; her husband Walter James Fields; her daughter Gwendolyn June Fields; and her siblings, Harvey Coker, N. Gerald Coker, Betty C. Grantham, Margie C. Guyton and Merle Slater.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Fields of Omega and Betty; her son-in-law Gordon Etchison of Perkinston, Mississippi; her brother Arthur; her sister-in-law Sandra Coker of Inverness, Florida; her sister Peggy Edgley of Lake City, Florida; and her grandchildren, Brian (Saundra Etchison), Christopher (Jessica Etchison), Adam Johnson of Crosland and Beth (Tim Bruner) of Tifton. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
