He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Kendrick; his son Jesse Kendrick III (Crystal); his grandchildren, Gabriele Bethune, Jessica Kendrick, Zaccheus Kendrick and Ladasia Luckey; his siblings, Barbara Thomas, Bernice Lee, Sandra Davis, Margaret Cochran, Joyce Elaine Cochran, Evelyn Kelly, Delacey Cochran (Lois) and Wilbert Cochran; and his aunt Ida Mae Green. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
