He is survived by: his children, Ricky Leon Harris of Chapel Hill, Tabitha Michelle Bustamante (Brian) of Warner Robins and Lisa Carol Nunez (Jesse) of Wilmington, Delaware; his sister Deborah Spivey of Columbia; his grandchildren, Ricky Leon Hales Jr. (Brittany), Michael Scott Pleasant (Jocelyn), Lauren Aleece Bustamante, Desiree Makayala Bagley, Hannah Aleece Bagley, Eric Kameryn Scott, Gracie Mae Hales and Ava Svetlana Nunez; and his great grandchildren, Jack Barnwell and Jordan Levi Hales.
