She was predeceased by: her parents, Addie Mae Whitaker Martin and Melvin Martin Sr.; her brothers, Milton and Marion Martin; and her daughter LaWanda Brown.

She is survived by: her husband Hozie James Brown of Warner Robins, GA; her daughters, Romekia Brown and Sharonda; her grandchildren, Jacquille Brown, Akiyah Brown, Drodarius Brown, Keontaye Brown, Jessyca Kendrick, Treveyon Brown, Kel'Mesha Brown, Zaccheus Kendrick, Ky'Ree Brown, Sha'Torri Brown, Zykemmia, Kaiden Brown, Kahli Brown and D'Laysia Brown; her siblings, Melvin Martin Jr. (Ernestine), Felicia Martin, Rhonda Martin, Malinda, Peggy Martin Davis (Wayne) and Cynthia; her siblings-in-law, Mary Brown King (Rickie), Willie Lewis Brown, Liman Brown and Michael; and her aunt Annette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
