It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Monroe Chancy of Offerman, Georgia, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson and Sinnie Elizabeth Carter Chancy, Sr.; his brothers, Don Edward Chancy and Thomas Jefferson Chancy, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Chancy and Faye Chancy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Doris and James Wade; his sister-in-law Linda Chancy of Blackshear; and his nieces and nephews, Christie Christopher (Bill), Drew Dodd (Libby), Donna Chancy, Mitchell Chancy (Mary), Shelley Costillo (Jorge) and Roger Chancy (Rachel). He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends.
