He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Lester and Carrie Thornton Denison; his son Tom Denison; his grandson Melvin Lester Denison, Jr.; his siblings, Judy Denison and Thomas Denison; and his sister-in-law Juanita Knowles.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rhodes Denison of Offerman; his children, Carrie Carter (Brett) of Mershon, April Griffin of Waycross, Tina Denison of South Carolina, Linda Denison of South Carolina, Jamie Denison (Veronica) of Odum and Lester Denison of Screven; his brother Ellis; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Denison of Offerman, David Rhodes (Debbie) of Offerman and Daniel Rhodes of Patterson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
