He was predeceased by: his brothers, Billy and Jerry Wells. He is survived by: his wife Redeatha Creamer Wells of Odum; his children, Wendy Thornton (Kim) of Odum and Steve Wells (Connie) of Odum; and his grandchildren, Nicole Westberry, Brooks Mallard, Jennifer Thompson and Nicolas Wells. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
