He was predeceased by: his grandson Jacob. He is survived by: his brothers, Jelon and Donald "Duck" Duncan; his wife Nancy Thomas Duncan of Odum; his children, Heather Duncan of Jesup and Vance; his stepchildren, Terri Aitkens (Robert) of Atlanta, Charlotte Hoover (David) of Crawfordville, Fla. and Jay Thomas (Susan) of Marietta; his stepdaughters-in-law, Cindy Lou Adams Milam and Patsy Thomas of Jesup; his grandchildren, Danielle Duncan, Scott Hurst (Kari), David Thompson (Caitlin) and Sunny Marie Thompson; his great grandchildren, Tristan, Avery, Gage and Bo Duncan; and his siblings, Elizabeth Carrillo and Gary Duncan (Jessie). He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
