He is survived by: his wife Jerry Thornton Griffis; his children, Susan Nadolski (Mark), Guy Griffis (Phyllis) and Gregory Griffis (Amy); and his grandchildren, Shanna, Bethany, Grayson, Steven, Jarrod and Karly. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
