He was predeceased by: his father Lowell Poppell. He is survived by: his wife Sue Starling Poppell of Odum; his daughter Steffany Wheeler (Cameron) of Alma; his mother Opal Aspinwall Poppell of Odum; and his grandchildren, Cooper and Connor Coley.
