With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joy Elaine Beasley (Odum, Georgia), born in Brunswick, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Joy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joy leaves behind.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James W. "Buddy" Merritt and Iris Evelyn Trull Merritt; and her husband Daniel Beasley. She is survived by : her daughter Rachel Holland of Jesup; her sisters, Gwen Hall of Odum, Evie Wilder of Jesup and Reba Barker (Ronnie) of Ormond Beach; and her granddaughter Ruby Holland. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Odum Church of God (608 S Main St, Odum, GA 31555). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
