He was predeceased by: his brothers, James Stone and Claude Smith. He is survived by: his wife Janice Thornton Smith of Odum; his daughter Felicia Rogers; his son-in-law Greg Rogers of Odum; his siblings, Sara Smith of Baxley, Marguerite Bullard of Brunswick, Cheryl Newman of Evans, Mack Smith of Wister Oklahoma and Allen Carter of Baxley; and his granddaughters, Allison Rogers and Alicia Rogers.
