He was predeceased by: his brother Jason Long. He is survived by: his wife Meta Joyce Sutton Long of Odum; his children, Amy Long Warren (Chad), David E. Long, III (Suzanne) of Maryland and Mike Long (Jeannie) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Graham Long, Hannah Long, Chael Long (Devin), Rachel Long and Chance Warren; and his great grandchild Noa Long.
