She was predeceased by: her parent Alene O'Dillon; and her siblings, Pasty Harvey and Jimmy O'Dillon. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Peters; her sons, Randy Whitehead (Rhonda) and Chad Whitehead (Alexis); her granddaughters, Kayla Grace, Kimberly Grace, Bailey Grace and Avery Grace; and her great grandchildren, Rollin and Ryder.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharlyn's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
