He was predeceased by: his parents, Clovis Elder and Katie Mildred Ivie Elder; and his son Jimmy Elder. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Elder; and also, Vickie Carithers, Penny Carithers, Brandon, Leigha Carithers, Zachary, Stephanie Carithers, Krista (Feather) and Tim Whitlock. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
