He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Sims and Jewell Huff Sims; and his brother Jim Sims. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Baker Sims; his daughters, April Sims Culp (Ken) and Jamie Sims DiRenzo (Tony); his sisters, Barbara Downs and Sandra Skaggs; his sisters-in-law, Sandra Carlyle (Shane) and Sheila Garrett; and his grandchildren, Mason, Drew, Samantha, Macy (Peter), Abi, Anna Kate, Grace and David Michael. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hebron Christian Church (2501 Hebron Church Rd, Winder, GA 30680). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Sims memory may be made to Hebron Christian Church Building Fund.
