He was predeceased by: his parents, A. P. Dickens and Mary Parsons Dickens. He is survived by: his wife Linda Barrett Dickens; his sons, Brian Dickens (Sherry), Brad Dickens (Roslyn) and Brent Dickens; and his grandchildren, Brianna Dickens, Maura Grace Dickens, Anderson Ruffner, Cason Ruffner, Jaxson Ruffner, Chip Dickens and Drew Dickens.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Union Christian Church (1130 Union Church Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at the Union Christian Church Cemetery (1130 Union Church Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Union Christian Church.
