He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Griffin Dooley and Ethel Dooley (Pullen); his siblings, William Alfred Dooley (Virginia) of Suffolk, Dr. Bobby J. Dooley (Aurora) and Miriam "Anne" Graham of St. Simons Island, GA; and his cousin Larry Lewis of Hartwell, GA..

He is survived by: his wife Hazel June Dooley; his brothers, James E. Dooley of Eatonton, GA and Charles D. Dooley (Betty) of Hull, GA; his siblings-in-law, Ralph Graham and Rita Dooley (Virginia); and his pet Brooklyn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, their children, a number of cousins.

Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Antioch Christian Church and or Union Christian Church.
