He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Jones Whitley; his son John Keith Whitley; and his brother Robert N. "Bobby" Whitley. He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Whitley of Ocilla, Jo Ann Whitley of Ocilla and Dorothy Kelly of Ocilla; and his nephews, Joey, Zema Whitley of Ocilla, Stanley, Brenda Whitley of Ocilla, Ronnie, Patsy Jones, Donnie and Jo Jones.
