He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert A Deaton and Reba Deaton; his wife Verla; his son Perry; his brothers, Bobby Joe (Helen), Nathaniel (Helen), Gene (Nora) and Verlyn; and his pet Jack.
He is survived by: his daughter Kay Handran (Keith) of Gainesville; his daughter-in-law Andrea Deaton of Canton; his siblings, Corine, Peggy Deaton of Winder, Carolyn Holliday of Winder and Bill Deaton (Nette) of Snellville; and his sister-in-law Levender Deaton of Monroe. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The United States Veterans Association, the American Heart Association, the Humane Society, or the charity of choice.
