She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Benjamin Steptoe and Mettie Mae Price Steptoe; her husband Eldridge "Shorty" Stapleton; her son Henry Wilbur Stapleton; her great grandchild Tiffani Marie Stapleton; her sister Audrey McCoy; and her brothers-in-law, Henry McCoy, Mack McCorvey and Paul Newsome.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Ann Watkins (Tony) of Tom, GA, Jack Stapleton (Wanda), Ben Roy Stapleton, Charles Dale Stapleton of Norristown, GA and Eldridge Stapleton Jr. (Marie) of Modoc, GA; her grandchildren, Tony Stapleton (Amber) of Metter, GA, Annie Stapleton Robinson (Kris) of Modoc, GA and Jack Daniel Stapleton of Norristown, GA; her great grandchildren, Landon Eldridge Stapleton, Ryon Robinson and Slate Stapleton; and her siblings, Jo Newsome of Kite, GA, Dianne McCorvey of Jackson, GA, Dewell Steptoe (LaJuan) of Meeks, GA and Huey Steptoe (Ann) of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
