It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Durene Howell of Norman Park, Georgia, born in Camilla, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Norman Durene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Norman Durene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Odeal Howell and Lavesta Barron Howell; his wife Lanelle Eddings Howell; and his siblings, Eric Howell, Kathleen Howell Brown and Ilona Howell Parsons.
He is survived by: his friend Buddy Strickland of Norman Park; his stepchildren, Tammie Strickland Dickens (Joe) of Norman Park, Elvis Wondell Strickland, Sr. of Douglas and Regina Strickland West (Jimmy) of Norman Park; and his siblings, Royal Howell (Martha) of Douglas and Virginia Howell Bryant of Hartsfield. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
