With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Merritt of Norman Park, Georgia, born in Cairo, Georgia, who passed away on November 6, 2022 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Merritt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Zora E. Miller; her husband Cecil Kenneth Merritt; and her brothers, Jack Miller and Ted Miller. She is survived by: her children, Karen Merritt Maxwell (Bobby) of Thomasville, Sonny Merritt of California and Kim Merritt Sheffield (Kenny) of Norman Park; her granddaughter Kinsley Maxwell of Acworth, Georgia; her siblings, Beth Baggett, Dianne Patterson and Dick Miller (Nellie); and her sisters-in-law, Virginia Miller, Shirley Hatcher and Elaine Merritt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southside Baptist Church or Colquitt Regional Hospice.
